Hi,
how can I insert manually a backdrops for older movies e.g. "Hatari"? I know already where the backdrops are saved! The movies are saved as {movie name}[imdb number] but where I can get the IMDB number?

You can also just save the backdrop somewhere on your computer then paste the full path to the image file in the Movie Manager for that movie.

Fforde is it possible for you to create some sort of "offline" database editor. I tried doing that once before and I must have typed the path in wrong or something because when launching the confirugation the databse would crash the app. Is there some way to edit the DB offline with out alot of hassle or a step to step guide.

I dont know what you mean by an offline DB editor. If you inputed a backdrop path, valid or not, and it crashed the program though, that is most definately a bug that should be reported.

easiest way is to save the following 2 files in the movie's directory
    backdrop.jpg - fanart
    folder.jpg - movie poster
    then reimport the movie

alternatively uploading to themoviedb.org is good too!
