install latest TVe0.3 over old one? (1 Viewer)

Hi sorry if this has been asked before? Had a look but couldn't find anything. Feel free to diss me if the info I need is somewhere obvious and I'm just being stupid...

Is it possible to install the latest beta build of TVE0.3 over an old one in such a way that I don't have to reconfigure/scan etc? Is it a case of copying xml files from the backup directory into the new one? If so which ones?
Or do I have to do a complete remove software/reinstall/configure each time I want to try a new build?

Not sure if things have changed but you usually have to uninstall tve3 cleint and server and then install the new tve3 svn. One good bit of news is your channels/config etc should be saved unless there is a major change to the database structure which doesn't happen too often thankfully
