uhm... how can i not have it uninstall DX11 for DX9.0c? 
Installation Direct X wants to uninstall my DX 11 (1 Viewer)

Isn't DX10 the latest??
MediaPortal works _ONLY_ with Dx9c. So it needs to install those libraries.

Installing DX9 will not uninstall DX11, it just makes sure the relevant files are in place for MP to work correctly.

Actually Windows 7 should have DX9 as well already "installed". All the MP installer want's to do is to install a specific version (which I cannot remember on top of my head) of the DirectX9 redistributable DLL files, not the whole DirectX9.

no DX10 isnt the latest but thatnks for the replies... im still confused as to why it says it needs to uninstall

This happened immediately after my Windows 11 x64 monthly update for November. The update included also cumulative update to .NET...
maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck?
Preferable with as much disabled as possible
also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything)
maybe other programs competing for resouces?

Since over a year my MP sometimes stucks while showing the welcome screen. It started once a week now it happens every second time...
