Hi All, I've spent a couple of weeks now trying to install MP and have been stymied. Here's what I'm working with: Silverstone HTPC LM02 case Asus A8N-VM CSM motherboard with NForce 430 chipset & GeForce 6150 integrated video (DVI, up to 1920x1440) 2 gb RAM 300 gb SATA Hauppauge HVR-1600 MediaCenter version with eHome IR WinXP SP3 (not Media Center) Comcast Digital cable I'd like to pull down HD content from Comcast with QAM, if possible. I've installed MP using the latest RC1 and the May 23 weekly. All of the drivers are the latest versions available. The installation is using a 'single-seat' MP with TVE3 installed using MySQL 5 and MP-Client on the same box. I've reviewed the information I can find about using the HVR-1600 under TVE3. Biggest thing is most people say TVE3 works with almost all cards w/out major tweaks. It did readily recognize the HVR-1600. I can play DVDs from MP - (looks great with the HDMI connection!) and can pull in things like weather. My biggest problem is that I can't get the HVR card to get *any* signal during channel scan. I've connected the incoming cable to a splitter and am sending signal to the STB and to the HVR (before the STB). The cable is coming into the HVR on the ATSC/QAM port. I can perform a channel scan on ATSC and QAM at all different STD/IRC/HRC options and get no signal at all. What am I doing wrong? Also, I have a Schedules Direct account and have placed the SD plugin correctly and am getting channel information - but not matched to a card. A lesser problem is getting the eHome receiver to work. I've noticed several troubleshooting threads and will follow them once I'm able to get the channel scan to work. So, am I SOL with the HVR card? Am I expecting too much to pull QAM from Comcast digital? Do I have the cable hooked up correctly? What am I missing? Would log files help at this early stage? I'm about to wipe the HD and reinstall OS and files. I've uninstalled and reinstalled MP & MySQL so many times now I can't count. Any hints would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
