Installation Problems (1 Viewer)

Hi guys Having trouble installing mediaportal, Installation package unpacks but then nothing. What kind of problem would cause this does the installer check the system and just stops or send an error message? I'm visiting my mother and trying to install it for her if I can't sort it in the next few hours it won't be getting installed.

Download package again, sounds damaged?
Reboot PC and start installation again?
Temporarily disable antivurs and other apps and services?
Is there enough disk space?
