installation trouble (1 Viewer)

I am attempting to install Mediaportal for the first time on a computer running Windows 7 64 bit. I chose the option of downloading the necessary programs before installing. For some reason, it wants to download the 64 bit XP version of WMP 11, in spite of the fact that WMP 12 is already installed. I attempted to follow the instructions, however, Microsoft requires validation before downloading, and the validation application that was downloaded no longer works. Any ideas on how to proceed?

As I recall - just push through the error and restart the installation - it is annoying but harmless, as I have MP 1.2.3 & 1.3 Alpha running on Win7 64bit platforms myself.

You are installing now or downloading only?
Because DeployTool, our installer, checks the version of WMP and this needs to be >=11 not =11

Thanks for the reply. I tried again, but this time chose the install option (instead of only downloading). i guess that made all the difference. The WMP option showed that WMP was already installed.
