Installed but cannot run + useless shortcuts (1 Viewer)

I want to port the pictures from my Kodak Mini to the PC. I installed Media Portal but there is one shortcut saying "Media Portal" which is just for configuration. There is a second shortcut saying "Media Portal Configuration" and having a shield on the icon which seems to have an identical function to the first.

On the program list there is an entry under Team Media Portal. All I want to do is to select the best of the pictures of Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser showing the creased spine and then upload this pic to my Amazon feedback.

Can someone tell me how to do this?

Welcome to the forum.

MediaPortal is a computer program which enables the user to view/listen to media and watch live TV using your PC. If you are trying to use it to just simply look at photos and upload them to a website, then I am not sure that MediaPortal is what you need.

Thank you for your opinion. If you must know, I need the other capabilities of Media Portal and I just want to start with something simple.

Hi there and welcome

The MediaPortal shortcut will also start MP Configuration if you have not yet configured it the first time. After that MP should start.
If not, attach full log files if you want someone to have a look.

I appreciate the offer of help. A fast efficient program is fun when you know what you are doing but frustrating otherwise. I got the pics part. My next project is to use Media Portal to take over drop box. Drop Box is so annoying. (and eventually I will get the TV's up and running).
