I've been running the above setup of Media Portal for the past couple of weeks, with a single Twinhan DTV Ter D+A model 3054 PCI tuner card and it's been fantastic! (This card is an analogue and digital tuner in one, and shows up as two separate cards in MediaPortal's setup program).
Today I've added a 2nd Twinhan PCI card to my pc - a Twinhan DTV Ter model 3020C, and the card installed OK in Windows XP. This should give me two digital tuners.
However, I can't see where to add this new tuner to MP.
When I run the MP setup program and select "Television-->Capture cards", I see a window with the analogue and digital capture cards of the FIRST TwinHan card, but clicking "Add" does not allow me to add the new digital tuner of the second PCI card. I get the message "No video capture card(s) were found, you won't be able to configure a capture card".
As I said, the new tuner card seems to have been installed by Windows OK, so.....
1. Is this problem a manifestation of the known "Multi DVB Tuner Issues in Windows XP", where WinXP can't be used with more than one DVB card ? If so, I'll follow the instructions in the forum thread here http://tinyurl.com/e7duv
or
2. Am I missing a step somewhere or misunderstanding how to add an additional tuner card to MP ?
Any advice will be gratefully received, as I've spent many hours setting up MP on this pc and don't want to start messing out with my Windows installation until I know I'm barking up the right tree !
thanks
