    Hi there,

I just want to share my updated MP installation manual with you. It specializes on issues with WHS (Windows Home Server)

    Great work!
However, since I'm running a server with WHS too, why would you want to do this? Do you have your server hooked up to your TV instead of a seperate HTPC or something?

    Hi,

yes, I have the WHS hooked up onto the tv. I like the idea of having just one machine running 24/7.
It works ok, although I would recommend to use a dual core and at least 2GB of RAM.

Hi, I didn't have SQL problems but just wanted to agree that on my Win7 system, a clean install of 1.36 TV server x86 does not work since it won't start the TV server configuration. Installing 1.33 first and upgrading to1.36 fixed the problem. Eggert

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...

I've done a few MP1 installs in the past and haven't had a problem, so I didn't expect one today. I just purchased a mini PC with Win11 installed. I downloaded and tried installing Mediaportal 1. I chose single click standard installation with no TV. It started working on things and I wasn't paying terribly close attention, but...
