Same problem just experienced here fresh install of Win7 X64. Tried clean install of 1.3a and get installer error at VC++ 2010. Wrong Windows version error. VC++ 2010 X64 was already installed by the ATI driver package, but MP wants X86 version and it bombs out at version check.

Was something changed on the server side or something, regarding the supplied intallers for VC++ that get pulled down during the 1.3a install?

I ended up having to start from scratch again, so I figured I'd get some logs this time around.

After Win 7 install, ATI 12.6 drivers were installed, which installed VC++ 2010 x64 only. I ran Windows Update numerous times with reboots till there were no more updates available for Win7 X64 (same process as two days ago). Started the 1.3a installer, expecting it to bomb out after downloading the VC++ 2010 X86 archive, as it had two days ago, but it installed no problem and continued with VC++ 2008 X86 and all the rest.

Why the change, as I used the same install from scratch procedure, and the same 1.3a install archive I used two days ago when it didn't work?
