Instant play does not work (1 Viewer)

Hello,
I'm using MP 1.1.3.0 in Windows XP with the current My Netflix plugin, an ARC-1100 remote using EventGhost and the Message plugin to run it. This setup works beautifully for everything except My Netflix. It is authorized and my instant queue comes up, and I can look through my history, so I know it's connected to Netflix. I can select an instant movie but once I'm on the details page, I cannot play it. Using Ok or play on the remote does nothing, clicking Play in the Info tab does nothing, it just sits there on the details page. It looks like the browser isn't launching at all. Any clue to fix this? Thanks!

Well I was able to get Top Gear (British TV series) to play but so far that's the only thing that does, and it launches in the custom browser just like it's supposed to. But everything else does not work, doesn't seem to matter if it's TV or movies, they will not launch the browser, just sits on the detail page.

As a decidedly mediocre solution, I installed Boxee and got its Netflix plugin, then used MultiShortcut to add Boxee to the MP home page. This works beautifully but requires a number of extra clicks to get there. This at least proves that Netflix itself works fine. I would MUCH rather use the My Netflix plugin if I can get it to work! Thanks for any help you can provide.

I am having the same problem with you. I actually had it running fine on one of my htpc then a week later things gave up. My thoughts were to do the same thing you are doing. But I agree with everything you are saying.

Where did you get that plugin btw? Also Hulu Desktop works great with Multishortcut.

Running it through Boxee is definitely NOT the best solution because all my remote settings are different, and MP just plain works so much better. I really like the My Netflix interface, you guys did a great job. I just need to get it to play. So far only Top Gear plays which is very strange.

Yes I'm using Hulu Desktop via Multishortcut too and it works beautifully. The next thing is to create shortcuts to the big channel streams like ABC, ESPN, etc.

i agree with you there about boxee but i just want to get it running again without having to turn on the xbx or now out in the family room i just put in the sony tv with google tv so just do a quick switch with it. but in the masterbedroom one i am thinking about using multi to get to the website and just run it that way for now. thats a thought i had. especially after hulu desktop is working great for me. who knows what just looking for any suggestions.

Sorry for the delay, I have WAY too many irons in the fire.

Could you guys please post your logs? Its is near impossible for me to troubleshoot problems on "it's broke please fix", with nothing else to go on.

Here's a log file where I tried to play both Hellboy and Prince of Persia using the OK button on my remote and by clicking the play icon in the info menu. This was in the detail page for the movie where I should be able to start playing.

And just for reference, here's a log file where I successfully played a Top Gear episode by pressing the OK button on my remote. So far this is the only instant play I can get to work. Thanks very much for your help.

Any thoughts? I see a number of errors in the log, but I'm not sure what to do about them.
