It might be pre-buffering, since it looks like it happens when its about to load a subtitle on to the screen.
It also reminds me that this MPC-HC subtitle patch is kinda different then it is in MPC-HC itself. Which is logical though. btw I tried it with 8.12, the official dell ATI driver (it's 8.46 I think), 9.1, 9.2, 9.3 and 9.4. All have the same problem.

I'm thinking of upgrading to Windows 7 build 7077, maybe it makes a difference. I will try that later this week, don't have to much time atm
