internet tv channels (1 Viewer)

hey guys, can anybody point me in the right direction please?
i no longer have cable tv(u know, no money men)
so i took out my haupauge tv tuner then
i went into te internet
found me a few channels copied their url and pasted them in a word file.
i open the file press control and left click and the ip adress opens my mozila
and the channels are working fine.
now , is there a way i can just copy the same ip adreeses into mptv server
so i can use mp to watch those channels?
i saw in mp tv a tab that says stream channels so i hope i can watch them in there.
remember i only can access those channels via internet. no by cable or any air signal.
i run mp 1.2.2 on w7

That's not going to be an easy one.

There is some content available through onlinevideos, but (don't know if it's one of your requirements) there's no integrated tv-guide, and timeshifting doesn't work on live streams.

i was trying to make it work with vlc and could not do it.
i also used online videos but it gave me some errors that now i dont remember.
i dont care about the epg or time shifting even thoe i used those features a lot
with my cable channels but i understand i might be asking for too much,
but if at leas i can watch some channels will be good. the thing is i can
keep them the way it is now with ms word but i dont want to be switching back and forth to mp.
i like mp and i use it for all my stuff but games.
