I have found that deleted TV recording are intermittently still showing and I need to run TV Sever config and choose remove invalid entries. This has only started occurring since upgrading to 1.8.

I also have found that if I delete a recording using windows explorer it will always happen, this also use to work previously to upgrading.

Regards,
Markus

    Hi,

You need to manual start the cleanup from GUI. The auto cleanup was changed because TVServer auto delete recording when NAS are not ready for ex :)

    Ok I see.
I have never done a clean up within the GUI as the description says "this will delete your recordings from the hard drive". Is the description wrong and it will only delete invalid entries?
If it only deletes invalids can I make a suggestion that the wording is changed.

Hopefully the auto mode will return. Seems silly we now have to do two steps to remove deleted recordings.

    Regards,
    Markus.

Hmmm maybe it's another options or wrong typo :)
So now i'm not 100% sure of it.
If you have a few record you can backup it and try.

    Ok :

It seems that you need to select option 2 :

and it will act like the auto cleaning :)

Maybe you shouldn't try, it seems the second menu don't comes with Titan.
    Thankyou,
I assume then that if I delete a recording I will need to run TV configuration and then run remove invalid entries.
I may test the GUI option to see what happens after doing a complete backup.

    Regards,
    Markus.

    Hi,

I am using Titan (blue) and the second menu does exist - it's just that the words on the first menu seem to indicate that the deletion will take place immediately and it may be dangerous to proceed. I would second the suggestion to change the words on the first menu.

I would have preferred not to have to manually perform this clean-up action daily when recordings are transferred, but I guess if it helps folks with NAS drives then it is beneficial overall.

    Best regards,
    Brian
