I am downloading the app now and will give it a try. As soon as I did I'll report back...

Unfortunately iRule is not able to display the movies, series and music that is on my HTPC, I think. I guess you should really have an MediaPortal app to do that, but we'll see what it is capable of.

It can make a connection through a http gateway. I know little about that stuff but i hope this makes it possible to have a two way system.

it actually is... you can install VLC media player for free (in the app store) ..

it supports RTSP ... so you can watch the livestream from mediaportal .. works...

i would like a mediaportal Ipad client also .. but for the moment VLC works also .. TV in the bathtub is nice

forget all that.. install ipimp ... and you have MP anywhere you go .. even over 3g connection .. its awesome.
