Dude, that doesn't make sense...
If iPimp is running on my iPhone and can send WOL packet to clients, why can't this be done for server also ??
All that needs to happen is for iPimp to send WOL packet via web ( 3G ) or Wi-Fi ( local net ) to my server's NIC.
Otherwise, this app is only useful if server is running 24/7 which is kinda silly and useless if trying to save electricity..
cheers
edit... let me get this straight.. i think i have it backwards.
Is iPimp running on server or iphone ???
Yep.. no worries.. i was having a blonde moment there for a while.
I managed to get a WOL app for my iphone which allows me to wakeup my server when required.

O Frabjous Joy!
That seems to have done the trick.
Thank you so much for your help and advice, CyberSimian. I hadn't thought of deleting the various folders, but I'll bear that in mind for any future disasters. Now I can record King & Conqueror on Sunday!
Cheers
Ralph
