I have been running Media Portal for many years but not the TV Server. Up to now I have used it only for stored content.
I am based in Ireland and use Virgin Media for Cable TV, Internet broadband and Home Phone.
Frankly I am becoming sick of Virgin and their Cable, I don't really watch much live tv so I am paying a fortune for a service I don't much need. I do use the series link recording aspect of it though. For some time now the Virgin EPG fails to record all episodes and most of the episodes it does record have 30 second errors where everything stops playing and it jumps forward.
I love Media Portal and would like to be able to use it for Live TV. I live in an apartment complex where I can't add a satellite dish and dvb-t signal is non existent. My only option realistically is IPTV.
Is there a U.K. IPTV service that works well with Media Portal?
Can anyone recommend an alternative to Media Portal that can be used for IPTV with EPG and Series Link and recording on a Windows 10 PC?
