I have one last point to overcome with MP, I need to get my IR Blaster to output a signal to switch channels on my STB. My computer works fine on MCE2005 but on MP it takes the signal in ok so commands from my remote work MP excellent, but when it comes time to change channels on my STB no signal comes out of the IR.

I believe the IR blaster is onboard my MB and I have a connection out the back with an IR extender plugged in, this does not flash which suggests to me that MP does not know what to do with the signal to send it out again.

I have tried MYBlaster but it does not even learn the commands, it says learning then skips to the next button before I can press anything and when I hit test again the extender does not flash, yet MCE works it perfectly, so I know the hardware is ok.

Do I need to get a new IR Blaster, maybe the Microsoft USB one.

Please Help???

I don't know your Blaster (it's the one that you connect to the Hauppauge card right?), but MyBlaster is supposed to work only with the USB version, the one that comes with the MCE of MCE-like remote.

No, I did not get the PVR-150MCE kit which includes the IR blaster.

I thought I would use the ir blaster in my PC. Is there someway to check if MP can send a code out from my IR blaster?

Or as i said by the MS usb version.
