Since upgrading to WinXP a while ago I can not get my TIRA-2 to work at all. Since they have no support I'm giving up and going with something that already has support in MP. Something like IRTrans/WinLIRC seems good but I don't know much about it or how it compares to USBUIRT... any thoughts?

Thanks.

I would suggest biting the bullet and just going with the MS MCE 2005 (European) remote. I don't know a lot about the Tira, but the MCE remote should have all the reciever functions and you also get the blasters and the remote itself. In Australia it's pretty cheap so I guess it would be in other countries too.

How do you check it? And why keep it when we have an IMDBID in the database - it's almost 100% guaranteed accurate identification of the film, IMDBURL is just unnecessary information that will clutter the database.

Hi, must be really a while, cuz I can not remember any post from you ;) But might be also that I joined the team too late. Yes, there will be many things. Main reason is simply, that MP2 is not developed based on MP1. I for example never used MP1. I tried it lately to test voice control and was shocked about many inconsistancies in...

What is the problem with using an IR remote control? IR is the best supported for MP. There used to be available a few RF remote controls for WMC, such as this one and this one by Emprex (they look identical). But as you can see, they are no longer available new from Amazon. You may be able to obtain pre-loved samples from Ebay, but...

    MP1 MP2 MP2 DLNA status? DE
What I meant is that we have a MP2 plugin called UPnP Render that can play media from DLNA servers if I remember correctly. I don't know the current state of the plugin though. That's why MP2 probably never will be certified. ;) Yes, that was also the idea, but it is a big job as all TV's, software etc. seems to not do everything...
