Hi All,
have been running MP for a couple of weeks now but this didnt happen before - the sat channels keep dropping out and I find I keep having to take the irdeto CAM out and the smart card and reinsert it a couple of times to get it to work
after that it will work for maybe 10 mins and the feed drops out again
It's not a MP problem as another program also says please insert smart card.
I notice the smart card says dont keep reinserting it un-necessarily all the time and I have to admit I have done reinserted a few times over past couple of weeks since I've been setting it up so is it easy to damage the chip on the smart card?
I have noticed the chip does have indents on it showing where it makes contact with the CAM.
I just didnt think it could get damaged so easily so I dont know if perhaps it could be a driver issue which is stopping the CI service running all the time, or is it a CAM problem where the contacts arent touching that great or is a smart card problem where the chip is a bit damaged?
Any advice on how to make sure the smart card is correctly contacting with the CAM?
Thanks
