Simple question, but I can't find the answer anywhere...is Media Portal designed for 64bit systems, i.e. does it run faster/better on a 64bit PC?
Thanks!

No optimization for 64 bit systems. Also Many applications won't actually even benefit from the 64 bit, even when optimized.

@CyberSimian As I have just posted in the MP2 subforum I will stay with MP1 for the time being. Many thanks for all your very informative and detailed responses. I will take your advice and monitor the Scheduled recordings list for the discrepancies you have described. Cheers.

Isn't this normal? I mean perhaps you should first do some config before you can start using mediaportal?

If I understand correctly, your device is combination of DVB-C tuner, router and some web access to play the channels in PC web browser. You can sniff http comunication with the help of Wireshark or Fiddler to determine channel url which can be used to create IPTV channel in TV server. If the url is not static(changes dynamically)...
