IS there a way to speed up My Tv Series (1 Viewer)

Ok.
SO I am a junky. they say admitting it is the first step towards a cure.
I love this plugin so much I have gotten carried away with my favorite shows.
I ran the config tool last night and was surprised to find I had over 4000 episodes..yeah I know sick sick man.
Anyway, here is my question...no its not is there a cure.
Its..is there a way of speeding up the loading of the My TV Series page in MP.
I find now that its taking over a minute to load, perhaps in some cases pushing the two minute mark.
Theres no hourglass type function so I an not sure if its actually doing something till it loads and the better half, she who should be obeyed really has no patience to wait.

So is there anything I can do to speed things up.
I am running everything local on a P4 3 ghz machine with sata drives and loads-o-Memory.
I hagte to think I need to start burning DVD's and putting them on shelves...its so....uncool.

Don't really have a solution for you other than to say it is actually WAY faster than it used to be with large databases! I am sitting at 9000 episodes plus at the moment and its not much slower than what you are experiencing. Spec wise i am the same as you (3gig P4 etc). You will find that as you exceed about 7000 episodes the plugin stops displaying some of the media, banners, season pics etc... but you are a while away from that still

Hmm.......two minutes? I would stop using the plugin immediatly if it was that slow for me. It's just....I'm almost betting its just all the image loading that makes it so slow, if so, not much I can do about it.

If one of you "addicted" ones is willing to work with me one on one we could determine the exact cause of the slowdown, not promising anything beyond that for now though.

I am happy to assist as always But to be honest i am actually fine with the speed right now... gives me time to pour a glass of cooldrink while its loading! lol. I think just based on the sheer size of the database its pretty well optimised.... i remember how slow it was before you did all that work speeding it up!

Ok, sorry for the double post, but OH. MY. WORD! I downloaded the new svn you just put up, with the different image loader for us episode whores, and its unbelievably fast now! From a reboot it loads the plugin in 5 secs, with 9383 episodes. ALSO all the banners, logos and screenshots are showing perfectly now! Dude, you are lucky you are on the other side of the world otherwise my wife would KISS you!
