Is there any point in starting a new skin? (1 Viewer)

I hear much of MediaPortal using xaml for skinning, not really sure what that means, but does this mean there's not really any point in starting a new skin using the existing skins as templates?

First, the next MP version (0.3) won't contain XAML. Probably the version after it will, tho. It's not that develpment for it died, but all work is done by a single developer and that just takes its time. Before rumours come up: It is being worked on actively all the time. No worries.

Second, existing skins are planned to be converted to the new version when it's about time.

So we currently suggest skinners not to wait for that new engine, it will take months until it will be available.
