Iso DVD Playback (2 Viewers)

when i play a DVD in the standard MediaPortal 1 from the my videos I can see the ISO being loaded into DaemonTools and I can hear the DVD being played but I do not see anything other then my videos.

Sometimes if i press play a couple of times it will keep asking me if I want to start the DVD from the current position or restart it THEN the video will play???

I had this happen as well after updating to today's SVN. It took some effort to get video displayed (stopping and starting several times), although audio was clear.

I think it was just a fluke for the video not playing correctly, although I think it should have run without issue. I had randomly selected it from my library. I noticed that it had played an intro without error, but when it went to the movie menu is when it went black. I simply re-ripped the file to movie only, without menus and it ran fine after that.

Other movie-only iso's ran fine as well.

I use ISOs and have no problems.
Make sure Daemon tools has the notify option turned off otherwise you will get a pop up window in the background waiting for you to click Ok.
I think that you get the pop up. So the DVD doesn't play automatically. When you hit enter or play it probably presses ok in the background window and it plays in iso the back ground whilst leaving MP on foreground.

The foreground MP message you describe is a feature. If you watched the video before in MP and stopped it before the end it remembers where you were. All it is saying is do you want to watch it from where you stopped last time or start from the begining. This is a feature not a bug.

I believe the next release 1.0.1 of MP will improve iso playing and make it integrated. No more daemon tools. However I have mine working fine now with 1.0
