Hi,

I am having issues when playing divx and xvid using MediaPortal.

I can play divx/xvid fine in Windows Media Player, VLC and XBMC fine.

When I play divx in MediaPortal and even MCE, I get a grey and green screen. The audio can be heard fine but the video is grey and green.

I have tried using all different codecs and codec packages eg fddshow, SAF, xvid codecs, klite codec pack etc

I have the latest drivers for the video card.

Can someone please help? This is causing a headache.

Thanks

That will be the SIS graphics chips, only the SIS Xabre series can run MP correctly

    Hi,

Thanks for your response. I tried doing that, same issue.

How come the other plays work? Is there a way I can use one of the external players built into MediaPortal?

I tried doing that specifiying another player but it was an extra program on top of MediaPortal.

    Thanks

    Fixed:

After changing from VMR9 to EVR under DirectShow Filter Control in MP configuration it now shows the videos ok.
