Hi,

I have just done a clean install of 1.0.0.0 RC2, and seem to have lost ITV HD. The channel is being found correctly as a tv channel (10510).

I have been keeping an eye on it (hoping one day it might have something other than the ITV HD placeholder!) using the TSWriter.ax referred to in this thread:

https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/general-support-51/itv-hd-41053/index3.html

I have attached a screen grab of the settings RC2 finds - does the lack of Video and Audio PID indicate ITV HD is not transmitting at the moment? Is anyone else finding the same?

Thanks

Chris

I have just er-installed everything with version RC2 and can see ITV HD fine, although it is not transmitting anything at the moment you just get the ITV HD not transmitting message.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the feedback.

I rolled my system back to RC1, and it is working fine. Back up to RC2, and still not working :(.

I have attached the logs - seems to be some kind of issue with VMR9?

    2008-07-19 21:44:30.312500 [Info.][MPMain]: TSReaderPlayer:render TsReader outputs
    2008-07-19 21:44:30.375000 [Warn.][MPMain]: VMR9: Pin: 0 not connected: 80040209

    2008-07-19 21:44:30.375000 [Debug][MPMain]: TSReaderPlayer: waiting for vmr9 connection

I'm wondering if it could be a codec issue, but presumably if it was BBC HD would not work either (and BBC HD is working fine)? I guess maybe I should try CoreAVC?

    Cheers

    Chris

    Hmm,
Not working for me either. It was working before, but I now have a clean install of RC2 and it no longer works. Can't remember if you need anything special to enable it or if the code went into the main release... Should this work with a clean RC2? If it should then let me know and when I get chance (recording something at the moment), I'll grab and upload logs....

I believe it should just work - with RC1 it was just a case of replacing TSwriter.ax with a new version and renaming the channel name from 10510. I have tried swapping the RC2 TSwriter.ax for the 'RC1 fix' file, but it made no difference

I have now tried the CoreAVC H.264 codec on a client, and that did not work either.

Are you using VMR9 or EVR?

    Cheers

Hi, I have just done a fresh install with RC2 and now can't seem to find a 10510 channel when scanning. Can someone post their ITV-HD working settings on here so I can manually add the channel please.

    Kind regards.

FYI here is a bit of info on my working system.
It just works with RC2, no need replace TSwriter.ax, just find 10510 and re-name it to ITV HD.
I am using the coreAVC codecs.
I have enabled advance view and under VMR9 (which i am using) I have unticked the exculsive mode (as I have 2 screens and this stops MP minimising to sytem tray when it looses focus).
    Hope that helps you.

Hi Ganejester, could you do me a screen grab of the edit settings tab, as Chris123 did in the first post please, so I can add the channel manually, I didn't seem to pick up a 10510 channel with this install and scan.

    Kind regards.

    Hi,
Running on Vista with EVR. Actually I'm not sure if I've ever had ITV-HD working on Vista (I've just updated my hardware). Does anyone else having this working on Vista? It seems to tune ok (in the server logs), but the TV on indicator does not come on and no picture is displayed... When I get chance I'll try with VRM9...

OK I still can't get ITV-HD working. So here are the details of test I've just tried....
    1. I deleted my old ITV-HD channel entry and rescanned the Sat channels. That picked up 10510 happily enough.
    2. Renamed the new 10510 as ITV-HD
    3. Installed Coreavc and set that as my H264 codec.
    4. Set logging level to debug.
    5. Ran MP to collect logs
    6. Tuned to ITV-HD several times (no picture).
    7. Recorded a short period of ITV-HD output.
    8. Tried to play the recording.
    9. Quit MP.

I've attached my logs. The interesting entry seems to be in MedialPortal.log it shows the player waiting for and not getting any VRM9 video signal. I'm actually using EVR on Vista, but I've also tried VRM9 with the same results. I've saved the short recording but it is 30MB in size so have not uploaded it. Let me know if you want it...
