Hi,

Does anyone know how to create shortcuts to particular areas of MediaPortal. For instance, if I want to watch a movie, I would love to just click a button on my remote and it jump to the MovingPictures plugin even if I'm not in MediaPortal.

I'm creating a PC remote software that allows you to control the Media experience and run any macros from any browser (e.g. iPhone), remote (e.g. Harmony) or speech (using MS speech recognition). I want to be able to use this to say "Show me movies" and it jump straight into the correct plugin.

Thanks,
Gary

Also - if you are using the inbuilt mediaportal remote control, then you can edit the .xml file so that a button on the remote eg. "the My Videos button on the MCE remote" shortcuts straight into a plugin (eg. moving pictures or my tv series) - otherwise you can pass a keyboard shortcut to the shortcut'er plugin and that will make mediaportal jump to whatever plugin or screen you desire (using the window ID code)
