First of all Thankyou very much for this wonderful program and hard work.
After looking for htpc software and trying many, I decided on this one yesterday. I am not sure if this has been suggested but, for the music section atleast, it would be nice to have a choice between the black screensaver and maybe something thats not so blah. Yes I know that you can use windows screensavers but I thought it would be nice to have something a little more identifying for MP. I hopefully attatched this image correctly to show you something that sagetv and others as well as my sattalite reciever have for a screensaver. This box jumps around randomly listing track info and so on. Maybe instead of having it jump around randomly, make it move or scroll smoothly in a random path around the screeen to avoid static image.(sort of like watching a pong ball move and bounce back off the edges of the screen)

Hi Doomzday, welcome to MP

I like your idea. I guess if it gets implemented will just be a matter of if any dev has enough time.
At the moment there is a lot of work being done to get everything ready for the release of the next version of MP.

Thanks! Although MediaPortal requires a little more horsepower from a system compared to some others, I think its well worth it. I think its one of the finests options out there, and it does it with eye candy, and style. Thats why I thought the black screen, although some may desire it. I found that it was a little bland for the looks of MediaPortal. This option should also be gentle on us plasma tv owners, aswell as providing us some info.
