hey guys,
I'm in the process of spitting all my tv series on dvd into single episodes in vob format and renaming them as mpg so they get detected but before i spend hours doing this as i have alot i just need an answer onto whether or not they will be detected in the format of:
TV Series/Season/Episode 1.mpg
TV Series/Season/Episode 2.mpg
I know alot of people have named them like s01.e01 etc... and i dont really understand the parameters setup like <season> etc... so in plain english if i label my series like this will this be detected... oh and it is allright to have vob files isn't it???

i tried the same thing and it didnt work for me. so my answer would be no. when i tried with them named episode 1 and episode 2 i had to manually input them into the database. i recomend trying tvseries.seasonxepisode.mpg

i named mine named and setup like this tvseries/season/tvseries.01x01.avi

so i should have files named for example familyguy.01x02.avi referring to season 1 episode 2 right??

I use EpNamer to fix my episode names and it seems to work.

I have all the episodes in a folder <tv-series> and it produces something like 01x03 - Blah blah.avi

well i managed to get mine working in the format tvseries/season x/episode x.mpg
