Well at least for now..!! I hope!!

I have an ATI 4650 video card...which is using Catalyst 9.11 driver.

I have set Media portal to auto change the refresh rate when in a 1080p 24Hz movie
(for that matter any 23.976 movie)

well it does that...but because the Catalyst uses scaling ..when in 24Hz mode..
the image doesnt fill the screen...but has a border around it!
Is the any way to tell it ..to resize.. so it does fill screen in 24Hz mode???

Do I have to use a 24HzProfile in Catalyst and then somehow get Mediaportal to activate it?
or is there a plug-in that will help?
or is this just not possible for now?

Does re-clock work in mediaportal 1.1.0??

The 2nd issue is how do you stop ...in Vista ...VMC from starting up?
ie so as to disable it completely?
or uninstall?
Cause I was going to try and use the Windows VMC button on my hauppage remote
to activate Mediaportal startup?
..and at the moment it starts VMC...
so thats the reason for wanting to deactivate it somehow??

Moviebug,
In Vista Home Premium the above does not work, because there is no policy editor on it.
So I did disable MediaCenter in another way, through registry edit.
How to Disable (Uninstall and Remove) Windows Media Center in Vista My Digital Life

To make sure it wouldn't start, I also renamed the executables and the various ehome folders.

When you want to use the green button, you might want to search this forum for the word eventghost. It is a tool that will help you to map that remote green button to start mediaportal, and can be found on EventGhost.
One thing that helped me to also be able to use the teletext buttons on my remote is MEDIAPORTAL - free media center - Message Plugin
