Anyone got Karaoke-dx working with 0.2.3.0.RC3, It worked fine with most of the earlier versions but nothing happens if I select a cdg track in my movie folder. It works ok through wmp and I've added .cdg to the list of extensions.
More on this..... 0.2.2.0 works, drop the oldest svn on top I could get hold of (06-01-2007-01-04-rev14775) and it stops, so its got broken sometime between the two.
Could a dev please look at this before the next release....
I have the same problem. It hasn't been working since 0.2.2.0. I've tried 0.2.3.0.RC1, 0.2.3.0.RC2 (with and without svn) and 0.2.3.0.RC3. I hope that it will be fixed soon because it's a great feature.
I agree it's a great feature that requires little or no input from the devs but it seems to get broken in some releases, I've brought up the problem several times and no-one ever bothers to reply. I would prefer to stay with 0.2.2.0 which I can't break no matter what I try (anything later is really flakey on my system) but does not support the milkdrop vis, I've asked if this is possible but again no reply.......Looks like we will have to wait and hope the final version will support it.
I'm running 0.2.2.0 and don't plan to use any svn until the next full release so I wont know until then....maybe Dracule has tried some of the later patches......
I've just downloaded the stable release of 0.2.3.0 and, probably just like you, had great expectations for this release. But I'm sorry to say that I still have the same problem and obviously can't get karaoke-dx working .
I thought that maybe they had looked into it and fixed the problem, this being the latest and greatest stable release of version 0.2.3.0 but no such luck.
I'm sticking with 0.2.2.0 until there's a solution to this problem. I think it's too much of a hassle changing between versions as I have my laptop set up as a htpc and MediaPortal is autostarting when windows starts up.
I haven't even thought about trying an older version of karaoke-dx so if that works that's good news to me! Thanks a lot for that tip 404!
I'll try it out tonight.
