I was just on my way of posting a copy of this thread. FINALLY got my setup working in client/server mode. My current test setup is as follows: * Server with FireDTV card running MP 0.2.0.0 + SVN 11-12 + tvplugin + TVServer 11-12 * Client running MP 0.2.0.0 + SVN 11-12 + tvplugin *Client start watching channel1 (locks the card) (my portable) *Server also joins in on channel1 stream First thing I notice is that the later one is behind the client (probably starting from rtsp://<ip>/stream1's file in the begining. Press right to get to end but this will be the end of the local TS buffer. Not really watching realtime TV. Could'nt some type of multicasting be used. saving bandwith??? Also... later the client crashes/exits. The lock is still owned by the client and the server will not be able to change channel "now that it's available"... Couldn't you just att a new field in the TVServer database with a timestamp that's updated every 10'th seconds from the client owning the card??. If this one dies let the other client take ownership of the lock??
