The topic pretty much says it all. Every time I go into the MP setup, it automatically adds the removable media drives in my system into the my videos section. I never have, and never will have antying to watch from those drives and it's driving me up the wall. Is there any way I can stop it from adding those removable drives into my videos... Thanks!

There is not, but a way to get around the problem it to create a folder and call it something like music, and put all you music folders and files into that folder. then in the configuration program you can put a checkmark next to that folder to have MP automatically go into that folder when you launch My Music.

You should be able to use this technique with all plugins: My videos, My Pictures, etc...

I totally agree with you. This is really annoying.

What's the problem, if you have your main folder ticked, that is where you will go.
its only if you select up a level that it takes you to everything you may have selected, including the removable drives.
As all my files are listed under music, video's or picture folder's, never need to go up this level, so it does not give me a problem, but someone else might like to use this facility, ie accessing a picture cd, etc.

I like that MP allows you to access removable drives if you need to access them.

What I hate is that MP always scans the removable drives when you go to the top level and that takes time.

I have up to six removable drives (2 cd/dvd, 2 vitual dvd, 2 removable)
and it takes up to ten seconds before MP responds everytime you go to the top level.

Maybe MP could scan all drives on startup only and use some windows events to detect when drives are changed/inserted (just guessing how windows works - I have no clue if it is even possible).
