When using ffdshow as video codec the keyboard wont work at first, here's what happens:
1: Start a video
2: Try e.g. the spacebar or b or any other mapped key
Now nothing happens.
To get it to work I first have to use the mouse to click in the window, anywhere, then the keyboard works just fine.
This doesn't happen when I use CoreAVC and my theory is that ffdshow temporarily steals focus from MP when it activates and then MP doesn't get it back until I click in its window.
Based on this theory I tried to config ffdshow to not show any icons in the bottom right tray, my theory was that if it didn't have to show these icons, it wouldn't steal focus.
But alas, it didn't change anything.
Not a huge problem of course but an annoyance nonetheless.
Has anyone seen this and know how to fix it?
