I figured I'd post this here as well, because I feel like being nice! :)

Forget hiding the mouse with transparent cursors or using 1 pixel cursors that seemingly have no effect on the logon screen anymore.

After playing around with the rather limited tinyxp I was startled to see that the f'n cursor that plagued my previous installs was gone. Now I've gone ahead and reinstalled again (I'm bored) and the stupid cursor was back. Now this setting is a global setting and affects remote desktop as well. In other words, the mouse is gone plain and simple.

To do this

Change:
Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Mouclass

To:
Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\1Mouclass

It's a rather simple setting and if anything goes wrong it should be rather easy to fix. Hey I'm not responsible if you screw up your system, but a simple change in settings can (may) make the mouse go away for good.

(This worked for me, it may not for you. Do this at your own risk. Btw, I'm using a heavily stripped down version of xp sp2. Thank you NLite!)

I hope this helps someone or at least me when I forget to do this on my next install and have to find this post again!
