KNC1 new BDA drivers (1 Viewer)

The KNC1 site lists new BDA drivers. They do not seem to be unsupported beta any more:

I installed them over the beta ones. Seems they have changed the driver names once again - but it seems to an older name that the captuecarddefinitions.xml already contains.

Deleted the card in mpsetup and added the "new named" one. When doing a channel scan no channels get found.

Switched back to the old drivers and channel scan worked again.

Anyone got the channel scan working with the new drivers?

I do not get any error message with the new drivers but the scan runs through not finding any channels.

No one tried the new drivers yet?
It would be nice to hear from others here if they are working on their setup or not.
If they work for nobody with MP maybe we could contakt KNC1 about it.

Hi! I tried the new drivers, but I couldn't notice any difference at all. With me they still produce some stuttering and hang up some times. For the time being I am sticking with the modified drivers. I didn't try to scan though, I used the frequencies I already had.

This weekend I will apply the mod to the new drivers and test them. If results are satisfactory I'll post them to the wiki too.

Hi!

I made a comparison of both drivers 4.7.5.1 and 4.7.5.2 and they are exactly the same. There should be no differences at all. I cannot explain why you are having problems on scanning channels.

Hi patos!

It seems as only KNC1 DVB-C card users are having this problem. DVB-S and DVB-T cards do not seem to be affected.
There are different threads about this in this forum. Installing the older beta driver 4.7.0.0 resolves the problem.
The question is if this is a problem of the driver or MP.
If it's a driver problem I could contact KNC1 about that but I'm not sure if it is.

The older beta driver 4.7.0.0 is no longer available for download so support for people having the problem is PM & sending driver using E-Mail. Maybe the old driver can be hosted somewhere?

hi,

i have a strange problem with my KNC1 DVB-S. I get sometimes an Cannot Create Graph error, inkl. no Radio via Sat workin.
After an Reboot, everything is OK.

Did someone else has this problem?
