[QUOTE="Andy Ford, post: 867664, member: 120055"] Hi mm Thank you for the reply and don't worry that nobody has responded. I substituted the Kworld card for a TBS 8920 DVB-S2 and all has been fairly stable since then. Am hoping to install Kworld card in bedroom pc but first I need to get satellite cable to it, so it may be some time before I get chance to follow up research! Have recently upgraded to MP 1.2.3 and the TV side seems greatly improved, so will be intresting to see what results I get with Kworld and 1.2.3. I have a question and would appreciate your guidance on best course of action (am still noob to MP and forum etiquette). I have three tv cards in system. A Kworld Dual DVB-T USB stick, a TBS 6280 Dual DVB-T2 PCI card and a TBS 8920 DVB-S2 PCIe card. As I'm still discovering all features in MP, my most recent research has been regarding EPG guide info. After upgrading to 1.2.3 and following guide in forum for UK EPG, I'm able to get all EPG for DVB-T/S SD and HD channels perfectly. A big thank you to all involved. I now seem to have problem with DVB-S2 card when using EPG grabbing. With 1.2.2 I had to set both DVB-T cards to *Allow this card to be preloaded* to get DVB-S2 card to work reliably (all cards set to Stop when idle). If I didn't have this option checked then I would receive *no signal* message when returning from DVB-T to DVB-S card. After upgrade to 1.2.3 I now have to have *Allow this card to be preloaded* checked for DVB-S2 card as well (all cards set to Stop when idle). If i don't, MP freezes when trying to use DVB-S2 card. Have to restart pc to restart tv service. Cannot find anything in logs that points to problem. Last entry before restart is that card is acquiring channel with correct tuning details. I have two cards set for EPG grabbing. The Kworld to grab Freeview EPG and the TBS8920 too grab Freesat info. If grabbing is set to *grab when timeshifting" all seems ok, but I have to watch sat channel to get EPG. If set to *grab when idle*, the initial grab works ok, but after a period of time (am trying to figure how long) the DVB-S2 card locks up and I have to restart pc to get it working again.7 When using *grab when idle* on DVB-S2 card with 1.2.2 I didn't have this problem. Any guidance on best way to troubleshoot this problem would be greatly appreciated. Not sure if I need to start new thread asking this question? I'll get debug logs with *grab when idle* enabled and *grab when timeshifting* enabled if you could tell me best place to post? Sorry for long reply. Your message arrived right in middle of me trying to solve this puzzle! I'm loving MP. It's picture/sound quality is superb..just wish there were more hours in day to discover all the functions! Being used to dealing with Sky or Virgin STBs I hadn't realized how much is involved and how many differences there are in freeview/freesat,hd/sd OTA broadcasts. Keep up the brilliant work.
