I'm having issue playing 1080p anime content on my main HTPC, it keeps lagging and the cpu usage is reaching around 25% (utilizeing 100% of one core) i'm guessing MP isn't multithreaded, core AVC is handling the the majority of the decoding

any idea what i can do to get this it work better?

i have another computer playing the content but the cpu is a e6400 @ 3.2ghz and it runs just fine

is my only option to get a faster cpu?

Yuor CPU should be more than fine. Yuo should try other decoders, ie. the built in MS. Not sure how the DXVA capabilities of your GFX, though.

Also, you need to attach your logs.
