After installing the latest CVS, USBUIRT does not work anymore in MP (quite inconvenient if you want to switch TV channels on your STB ;) )

The configuration app says "USBUIRT device not detected". However, it is available in XP's device manager and I can turn my computer on with my remote via USBUIRT.

    MP log is here.

I can confirm this problem with CVS builds from the past few days. I have had to go back to CVS 10/10/06 to get thisngs working again.

Can somebody confirm this issue or does it appear just on my machine?

    Hi GoldenEye,

Since nothing much is happening as a result of this thread and the last few days cvs haven't fixed it, maybe you could bring this to the attention of the devs or list it as a bug in Mantis. I am not sure how to do either of those things, hence the request.

    @ BigBuddah

I assume the devs are heavily occupied with the upcoming releases (I am no insider - so I have no idea, when a new release will be available).

In addition, we as normal users are not allowed to add issues to mantis (which I can understand). Mantis home says:
Please notice that ONLY the Test Team (Reporters) when confirmed by others and developers may enter new bug reports.
Bugreports entered by others will be removed.

Still, I would like to see how our issue is being treated. Therefore:

    @ the devs

Could one of the devs please take a look at the USBUIRT issue mentioned in this thread and officially confirm it as a bug?

Thanks for your ongoing support and your marvellous work.

    G.

I have done some more investigations and I can confirm that with SVN revision 10964 (10.10) the issue was not there yet. It came with revision 11034.

SteveV is the one who wrote this plugin for MP... I will e-mail him just to let him know about this thread.... but I am surprised he has not posted anything here.

    ASiDiE,

Did you get a reply from SteveV about this problem ? It is still present in 0.2.1.0 and latest CVS.

    Thanks,

    BB

SteveV has bowed-out of development for the foreseeable time due to work and life. We hope to see him back at some point in time.
