Launching App from Home Menu (1 Viewer)

Is there anyway to add a menu item to the Home screen to launch an external app? I have come across the EasyApps plugin but that just gives you a menu of external apps.

I am looking to use BeyondTV with MP and would like to be able to launch it directly from the home menu.

Have a look at multishortcut plugin. It should do what you want. Be sure to pick up the link from page 4 or 5 if you are using the latst SVN.

Now if only I can figure it out. I did download it from the link on like the 5th page in the thread which I understood to be an updated version that will work with 0.2.2 and I am running 0.2.2 but when i go into MP Setup and click plugins I get "An error occured while loading...It's incompatible with the current MediaPortal version and won't be loaded."

Anybody got any ideas?
