Please try thefolowing communication parameters:

Port: LPT1

TextMode:

Columns: 20

Rows: 16

Comm. Delay: 5

GraphMode:

Columns: 160

Rows: 128

Comm. Delay: 1

Backlight: ON

Contrast: 100%

Advanced properties:

Wiring: Original

Mode: Single Screen

If this does not work try to increes the "Comm. Delay:"

If you stil cant get it to work I cant help you.
