I use the original wiring myself and it works for me with the settings I sent you. I wish I could help you more but I cant.

btw, there has not been a post by JoeDalton in 1,5 months now  hope nothing serious has hapened. I sent him a T6963C based display a few months ago so that he could work on the graphical support. He would probably know how to get your display working also..
