Using AtmoLight and AtmoWin with a Arduino Uno R3 clone and everything is working pretty much as it should but the LEDs are not blanking or dimming correctly - they seem to be going full white when there is nothing to show rather than turning off? For example...

When "Live" is selected and there are colours on the screen the LEDs respond correctly as long as there is colour to show.
Drawing a big black box in paint and moving it around replaces the desktop colours but instead of turning the LED's off as expected they go white instead.
Using the VU meters for music has the same issue, the LEDs go green / orange in response the the music but during quiet parts when there is little activity they are full white rather than off.

The AtmoWin "Color Changer LR" effect works fine though and when using "Static color" the LEDs respond to the sliders as they should.

The strip is 3 LEDs per WS2811 chip

Probably not explained things very will hopefully makes sense lol

Cheers :)

    Hi T.J :)

For live window it might depend on the OS as we have a checkbox for Windows 8 and up, could you screenshot your AtmoWin settings?

Since LR works we know the Arduino sketch is probably ok, we do have the most recent AIO sketch here if you want to try it out.

Also for AtmoLight we don't use the Live view afaik as that is only for Windows Desktop capture, so would leave that off (no effect in AtmoWin) and try it directly in AtmoLight.

If you want led go to be off when the background desktop is black, make sure you set the darkness limit to 0

Thanks for the replies :) I spotted the min darkness slider and that solved the issue with the VU meter but not video... Decided to test the setup on a different Mediaportal install and that worked fine - plugged it all back in to the original / lounge room setup and rather randomly its all ok now, guess there is some truth in turning it off and back on again lol.
