Hello everybody - i'm new and noob to this forum / sweet program.
Having said that, i'd like to first thank everybody who participates into this great project. It's such a good app.
Now straight to the itchy part:
as you might have read in the topic, i'm the owner of a Soundblaster Live! Drive IR with a RM-900 IR remote. I've looked all over the place for a plugin to make this work - and all i've found is:
I don't think i'm the only LiveDrive owner here... am I wrong? And the second option sounds wacky.
So comes my question:
shouldn't it be "easy" to take Kaburke's code and actualize it in order to work with the current MP version? I know that Kaburke's plugin was designed to work with the InputDeviceMapper plugin which has been absorbed somehow by MP - but in an email he suggested me to ask in the forum for support. His code has all the "tricky part" already done (the hardware-specific part as far as i can tell) so it should be fairly easy to adapt this code to the new MP's structure...
Is there anybody willing to help? I've never tried writing a plugin so it might be a good learning lesson for me... but i guess it might take months.
Please help!

- there was a guy named kaburke who used to maintain a plugin for this specific input (until 2 years ago - when he had to stop due to a lack of time) - but this one is not working anymore with the current MP version
- i have to buy a program called Intelliremote that can load various remote profiles including the MP one
