    Hi devil236

The Trio is a new card and is at this moment not on the supported list.
I had the duo, which worked ok on the DVB-T side, but the analogue i did not bother with.
See if Dman_LFC can add it too the supported TVcards list.
The problem I found with the lifeview software, was the TVguide and the poor remote. Hope you get it to work with MediaPortal, as this is great software.

    Regards

    I bought the Trio card,

In MP (2.1.0) tuner configuration I can see all 3 tuners DVB-S DVB-T and Analog.
I can add Analog Tuner, but one only of the digital tuners.

For example after adding DVB-S to installed tuners, the DVB-T tuner disappear from the list, so I can't add it too !!
If I delete DVB-S from the installed tuners ... on the list returns both DVB-S and DVB-T !!

    WHY ??

Is that the XP multi-DVB limitation ?
I tried the PATCH ... without results ... same problem ...
    Can anyone help me ?

    PS:excuse my english

    Looking for solution

    Hi FlyDVB TRIO owners

I'm thinking our card is being ignored by MP, as you can deduce from my last post on https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showthread.php?t=11055 thread at 2006-11-02, 01:01. No one "Portal manager" or "Developer" can insure that "An updated list is maintained ::here::" cause we just demonstrated is not true.

When I bought my tuner 4 months ago, I discovered that was not detected by MP. After find out that our tuner WAS ON "CaptureCardsDefinition.xml", I found that moniker on that file was distinct of my recently installed TRIO.

This is the long "Filter moniker" that I get with "GraphEdit" ....

    713xBDA DVBT Tuner
    @device:pnp:\\?\pci#ven_1131&dev_7133&subsys_03195168&rev_d1#3&61aaa01&0&50#{71985f48-1ca1-11d3-9cc8-00c04f7971e0}\{3ff44ee5-8547-402a-94f3-d447f4d7c400}

    713xBDA DVBS Tuner
    @device:pnp:\\?\pci#ven_1131&dev_7133&subsys_03195168&rev_d1#3&61aaa01&0&50#{71985f48-1ca1-11d3-9cc8-00c04f7971e0}\{9bb4f27f-515c-43ca-8e7d-f07cf5b77700}

    713xBDA Analog TV Tuner
    @device:pnp:\\?\pci#ven_1131&dev_7133&subsys_03195168&rev_d1#3&61aaa01&0&50#{a799a800-a46d-11d0-a18c-00a02401dcd4}\{62b08a3e-335e-4b30-90f9-2ba47ef9ec00}

As you could check, unique difference with "moniker" in "CaptureCardsDefinition.xml" file is one number: "rev_d1" instead of "rev_d0". My problem to detect my TRIO tuners was solved on that way.

I can tune any card with DTV software included with our card, however, all of us continue without getting to have DVB-T and DVB-S tuners detected at the same time in MP TV configuration (I even installed DVB XP patch but same result).

    Any suggestion or new idea?

    :D

if you feel adventurous then you can test the new TV Server version of the TV system.
This one detects the cards via Windows, so as long as the TV card works and supports standard Windows drivers then you should be able to use the card perfectly. The capturecarddefs.xml file is not used at all.
Just bear in mind that the TV Server is in very early stages of devlopment but it is still very good for its age.

Otherwise, you can follow the instructions for getting your card supported. It is stickied to the top of most support forums here. Dman usually does most of these and is very fast at putting in new cards. You just have to read the changelog to see how much work he does on this.

The TRIO card is supported, but not prefectly ...
MP detected immediately my new card, in my CaptureCardsDefinition.xml there is "rev_d0"

I think (but I can err) it's not on the official supported card list because of some problems with DVB-T and DVB-S together (doesn't works) !

    That's the problem (again):
When choosing one of the available DVB tuners (S or T) from the detected card list, and adding it to the installaed adapters, MediaPortal removes the remaining DVB (T or S) from the available list; so you can't add it too to the installed adapters.

I think MP remove the other DVB from the list for an internal "name conflict" or something similar betwee DVB-S and DVB-T ...
For example: Adding DVB-T to installed tuners ... DVB-S should remain on the available list ... right ?
If for a name conflict MP thinks that DVB-S is just on the INSTALLED tuners, it wont show it on the available tuners ....

May be useful to compare the CaptureCardsDefinition.xml TRIO section wit other "3 tuners" (Hauppauge HVR 3000 ??).

Still trying on the night ....

    Bye

TV Server ... will be the future on MP?

    Hello

I'm not sure, Marcusb, but I think by your post content that the near future of MP is to need "TV Server" for tuning our TV cards. Is that true?. Cause I'm not an adventurer to try new installations if an easier solution is possible in MP.

By the other hand, Hivanoe, I must say I was wrong: Problem is not "same name" related, cause if you see my "monikers", you will notice that all my TRIO tuners have the same moniker!!!

    (ven_1131&dev_7133&subsys_03195 168&rev_d1#3&61aaa01&0&50)

so, that's not the problem, I think.

    :(

I compared the TRIO monikers with DVR-3000 monikers, it seems equal in all parts except a "mce" parameter (and hardware string obviously).
But DVR-3000 owners seems to have some problems at the moment.
So, not found any solution for DVB-S DVB-T together......

Has someone been able to use a "3 tuners in 1" tv tuner card without any problems ?

I have problems with channel tuning too :( , analog TV tuner autoscan uses bad frequency range .. is starts from 50Mhz to 200 Mhz !!
How can find tv channels on that frequency range ??
It shoud start from about 300 to 7-800 Mhz ... is it possible to change it (like dvb.t) ?

    Bye
