Has anybody succeeded in getting the remote control and sensor supplied by Lifeview working in MP?
What drivers need to be loaded? I have completely removed the Lifeview DTV application, because it is totally useless.

Which is the best IR device for use with MP?
Is it serial (via the MB IRDA header)?
Where can I fine a suitable circuit diagram?


As an alternative, does anybody know the pinouts for the 2.5mm stereo plug fitted to the remote sensor, because, one of my options is to build an interface between the stereo plug and my motherboard irda header? And, what is the receiver device type?

Had the misfortune to be off sick for a couple of months and spent a lot of time between lifeview dvb-t duo and media portal unfortunately the remote control is decoded by the card driver and have had no luck with the likes of girder. personally from what ive seen and heard the £23 that the mce remotes are going for are well worth the money in the long run,
and the nice people here have already configured the buttons for you.
but i searched long and hard on various forums and have heard of no success with lifeview remote outside its own program. PS am awaiting arrival of my remote from ebay
