There is a very simple way to edit out the "lead", "lag" times and commercials out of your recorded DVR-MS files.
There is an article on MSDN demonstrating how easy it is to manupulate DVR-MS files. One of the examples is the code for splicing the DVR-MS files. (incorporation of the features in MP ? hint... hint...)
link to the article
The best part of the article is that all the sample code is compiled and made available to you in a fully working form. There link to it is on the top of the article or, use this one
Download the DVR-MS Sample Code.msi
After installing, look for DvrmsEditor.exe in the Applications folder.
