Hello,
I have tried anything relevant in the forum regarding audio sync but my audio when i watch analogue tv (leadtek dtv2000h)goes faster than video. All other programs including leadtek's pvr are excellent.Am i doing something wrong? You think that tvserver will solve my problems ??

Ps i have all the updates for the windows and have tried all the audio, video, rendered combinations.

Regards
Yannis

have you set the audio renderer to default direct sound device?
any other setting will nearly always give you sync issues.

I know you say you have tried every setting, but just in case, this will be a simple fix.

Make sure you apply this in the TV codec section.

    Hi bilis4,

this is indeed sometimes a problem on analog-recordings. I am facing it too from time to time. Sometimes it helps to reduce the quality, sometimes not...
I already to frodo about the implementation of a lipsync, but this seems to be very difficult. So if some experienced user here could jump in and try to build a lipsync, it would be great!

    Regards

    Hi bilis4,
I had same problems using Leadtek with analog TV and SW encoding. I had a little succes with lowering the quality - using MPEG1 instead MPEG2, using constant bit rate etc. It was really creative work with very speculate results. I stopped with improving after installing Hauppauge with HW encoding.

deep inside me i know that the most probable solution is to go with a HW tv card.
But i want to try everything is possible before that.Do you think that going to TVserver will be a solution ???

    Thanks again

In fact I was using Graphedit for testing synchro problems - fully outside the Mediaportal. I don't think the TVServer could solve this, but you can try ...
I tried various filters, the best result (picture quality) with InterVideo. I also tried SageTV with very good results.

The problem is that i have not usedgraphedit before and i dont know how to do it.
Any help would be realy appreciated.

    Thanks
