Hello all,

The resolution I use is 1280x720p 60Hz, on HDMI.
Mediaportal works fine, even with mkv HD video (720p).
Also DVD works fine.

I have only one problem with Analog Live TV from the HVR-4000 tv tuner.
With this video the deinterlacing is horrible, in particular with moving images, it's unwatchable.
I don't see typical interlacing lines on TV but all frames seems to be converted to progressive.
It seems that are shows frames that moves forward-backward-forward-backward....
When video is almost still all seems ok, but when the video moves .. I see big video-flicker due to the described strange deinterlace.
I don't have the flickering problem with the OSD, OSD works fine over the video.

I know HVR-4000 uses a software encoder (SoftMCE ... that is Mainconcept..) for analog signal, but CPU usage is at 60% when viewing analog TV, I don't think it's at the limit.

If I record that TV signal and see it later with MP I still see it BAD with the deinterlace problem.
If I open the recorded file with another player (wmplayer) I see it fine and smooth !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried almost all in MP,
tested EVR and DXVA ... same problem
changed the recording type on tv server to mpg and .ts ... same problem
screen refresh at 50Hz and 60Hz ... same problem
deactivated cool&quiet (CPU always at full clock) ... same problem
used all differents MPEG2 codec ... same problem
with AVIVO installed / uninstalled ... same problem
change the deinterlace setting in mediaportal configuration it don't have any affect on the video.
The deinterlace settings in Ati Catalyst control panel don't change nothing when playing the video !

I installed the last SVN ,and last SAF codecs with the last powerdvd8 mpeg2 decoder:
with hardware deinterlace ... same identical problem
with software deinterlace ... a bit better, no flicker, but not acceptable: far from a good video (like a typical DVD seen with MP)

What can be the problem ? Are there some issues with MP ?
Thank you
