I still have the problem that Live TV stops suddenly several times during a few hours of watching. Can someone plz help me out. It can't be a hardware problem or a signal quality issue, because the same PC hardware with the same DVB System (Card, Cable, Dish,...) works without problem when running Vista Mediacenter with TV-Pack.

    Logs attached.

When the stopping did happen? Logs are pretty big to go thru.

At least this one could be one possible place:

    Code:
    14-04-2009 21:51:59.632 Recorder: TIMESHIFT Info : Program clock reference forward jump ( 2904751 ).

    Also some DirectX related errors:

    Code:
2009-04-14 19:35:13.848000 [ERROR][19]: RenderFrame exception Der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt. Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D bei Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.VertexBuffer.Unlock()
bei MediaPortal.Player.PlaneScene.DrawTextureSegment(VertexBuffer vertexBuffer, Single srcX, Single srcY, Single srcWidth, Single srcHeight, Single dstX, Single dstY, Single dstWidth, Single dstHeight, Int64 lColorDiffuse)
       bei MediaPortal.Player.PlaneScene.DrawTexture(UInt32 texAddr, Int64 lColorDiffuse)
       bei MediaPortal.Player.PlaneScene.RenderLayer(Single timePassed)
       bei MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUILayerManager.Render(Single timePassed)
       bei MediaPortalApp.RenderFrame(Single timePassed)

Not sure if those have anything to do with the stopping.

To generate much cleaner logs (easier to see the possible issues) please do the following:

    • Stop MP and TVE3 processes
    • delete all MP and TVE3 logs
    • start TVE3 + MP
    • tune to one channel and timeshift that until the stop happens (don't do anything else in between)

Most likely you need to run such test during the night to be able to catch the issue as always when you are trying to catch some hard to reporduce issue it will take forever it to appear again :p

Your were right one stop did happen yesterday 14-04-2009 21:51:59. The DX issue is something different. It has nothing to do with the stopping of Live TV.

    PLZ help me out.

BTW should i turn on DEBUG logging?

    15-04-2009 20:33:35.385 Recorder: TIMESHIFT Info : Program clock reference forward jump ( 4449903 ).

Maybe Ambass has some clue why the playback is stopping, I cant see any errors in the logs (althou TsReader.log looks really suspicious, maybe TsWriter has failed to patch the timestamps correctly after broadcaster has behaved first badly, i.e. PCR jumps...).

Jumps are a bit far for me.....:)
Looks like data are hold somewhere for some seconds before TsWriter receive them....
Could you try the TsWriter below that includes more verbosity about jumps.
